Stock Donation Information

September 22, 2021

The Cardinal Newman Society gratefully accepts donations of securities (including stocks and bonds), retirement plan assets, and life insurance policies. Such donations can provide tax benefits to the donor while greatly assisting our work to promote and defend faithful Catholic education. Please note that our policy is to immediately sell donated securities. We will acknowledge receipt of the securities, but IRS regulations require the donor to independently determine the gift’s cash value for tax purposes; consult your broker or tax advisor. If you have questions, please contact Joe McLaughlin, Vice President of Program Development, at (703) 367-0333 ext. 132, JoeMcLaughlin@CardinalNewmanSociety.org. Thank you!

IMPORTANT NOTE: In our experience brokers rarely communicate to us who made a gift of stocks or otherwise transferred funds to our account and without that information we can neither properly express our gratitude to the donor nor provide a tax receipt. If you will ask a broker to make such a donation for you, please let us know so that we can properly and promptly thank you!
