Student Residences

Students at Catholic colleges spend most of their time outside the classroom, much of it in student residences. A student’s experience outside the classroom may be just as formative or destructive as a student’s formal education.

At faithful Catholic colleges, residence life fosters chastity, charity, and virtue—but this is not the case at many other historically Catholic colleges. With loose rules for students visiting bedrooms for the opposite sex, many colleges preside over a binge-drinking and hook-up culture, with an appalling number of sexual assaults.
