Father Kennedy is a member of the Congregation of St. Basil. He has been president of two Canadian colleges: Assumption College in the University of Windsor and St. Thomas More College in the University of Saskatchewan. He has also been Director of the Center for Thomistic Studies and Dean of Philosophy at the University of St. Thomas, Houston, and professor of philosophy at Sir Arthur Lewis College, Castries, Saint Lucia, West Indies.  He is a member of the advisory board of The Center for the Study of Catholic Higher Education.
